| Our CD Duplication services are broadly split into two categories: |
| 1. Full packages, intended as a complete package including compilation of the master tape, mastering and pressing and the design, output & printing of artwork to clients specification. |
| 2. Disc only duplication, which includes mastering and pressing only, is intended for clients who can compile their own master tapes and do not require us to design & print artwork to their specification. |
| These packages are intended as a guide and help simplify the pricing. We can offer any level of service depending upon your individual requirements. |
| All CDs are pressed in the EC and, depending upon time of year, we can usually guarantee a turnaround time of 10 - 14 days, oftentimes less. |
| We adhere to the copyright clearance requirements of the MCPS, and we can help clients to obtain such clearance. We can also bar-code and ISRC code CDs if required. |
| For ensure best results, we require a suitable digital master recording (DAT, CD, DCC or Minidisc) at any sample rate (44.1kHz or 48kHz preferred), and all transfers/compilations are made entirely within the digital domain. We only make EQ, dynamic or timing alterations to recorded material if specifically instructed by the client, although we will advise if, in our opinion, making such alterations are necessary. |

There are basically two types of Audio CD's, Recordable CD (CD-R, CD-RW) and Duplicated CDs. Recordable CDs are gold, green or blue in colour and are copied, or "burned, one at a time, in either a stand alone CD recorder with audio inputs, or a recorder connected to a computer. The labels can be printed directly onto specially coated discs or onto paper labels and attached to the CDs with special adhesive. There are no set up costs for CD-Rs, but the cost of the CDs is higher than a duplicated CD. This makes them more suitable for one-offs and low quantity runs. Duplicated CDs are like the pre-recorded discs that you buy in the shops. They are silver in colour (both sides) and manufactured in much the same way as vinyl records; a Glass Master is made from a master tape and then CDs are pressed from copies of this glass master. The CDs are then screen printed with the label design. Although the set up costs of duplicated CDs can be high, the actual cost of each CD is low and the results look much more professional. Because of the relatively high set-up cost, this type of production is most suited to higher quantity runs. Both types can be played on most CD players*, although it is important to make sure that CD-Rs made using a computer are Red-Book compatible. Not all computer based recorders can make red-book discs, and non-compatible CDs can only be played on computer CD-ROM drives and are not suitable to use as a master for duplication. For best quality results, you should provide us with a digital tape such as DAT, Minidisc or DCC. We can also transfer from Reel-to-Reel, Hi-Fi video or even cassette, although these can require additional work to ensure good results. Please contact us first to discuss your requirements, as it is often possible to save time and achieve better results with a little careful preparation. *( Note: early CD players, older DVD players and some in-car CD players may have problems with some CD-R and CD-RW discs) |

Discs are supplied on spindles and above prices include label printing in 2 colours from your supplied artwork and delivery to one UK address. Discs can be supplied in jewel cases from £0.10 each.
Please enquire about additional colours or picture disc printing. Discs can also be coated to allow over-printing with inkjet or thermal transfer printers to allow new titles, dates or version numbers to be added to your generic label design. Discs can be supplied in sleeves, cardboard wallets or standard 3 piece jewel cases at extra cost - please enquire
We can also supply shorter run inkjet printed CD-Rs (printed directly onto the disc, not self-adhesive labels). Prices are for full colour graphic printing and include slimline jewel cases and P & P to the UK. (Please enquire about single colour or text printing only);

All CD-R discs are supplied by Sony, 48x write speed certified and are 700MB(80min) capacity as standard.
CD-R Audio specification discs (for standalone CD-R Audio recorders) can also be supplied at a surcharge of £0.10 per disc.
